Relationship between smartphone addiction and sleep quality among faculty of medicine students Suez Canal University, Egypt

Background: Smartphone addiction is an increasing problem among university students worldwide. Excessive smartphone use can lead to unfavorable outcomes such as social isolation and poor academic achievement. Assessing the utilization of smartphones at level extremely necessary. Objectives: The study aim was investigate prevalence medical assess its relationship with sleep quality. Methods: A cross-sectional conducted on 150 students, Suez Canal University. self-administered questionnaire distributed collect required data. assessed Addiction Scale Short Version (SAS-SV) quality by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Results: shows that 74.7% were addicted prevalent male students. PSQI global score statistically significantly higher (P = 0.010). Conclusion: present showed high findings this indicate screening prevention should be considered.
